Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    swandy, I suspect the Apple rep is right regarding the popularity of the black sport band. I ordered one as a separate accessory to my SS w/ classic leather. The expected delivery on the extra sport band is days later than the delivery date range for the watch and for the extra charging cable I ordered. I tried them all on in the store. If I had it to do over again, I might have ordered only the sport band and the dark aluminum case. Very light and very comfortable.

     

    Does anyone know why the Apple Store App requires me to type my Apple ID password every single time I launch the app to check the status of my order? My Amex App accepts Touch ID every time, but the Apple Store always makes me type out the password except when I'm actually buying something. Odd.

    The space grey and the space black models are the most popular, to get a SS space black watch the apple site say ships in July, I ordered the 42mm space gray aluminum at 3:04 EST and got a ship date of 4/24-5/8 but no more than a minute later that changed to 4-6 weeks,  I feel lucky.

    I ordered at 3:05 am EDT on 4/10 and was confirmed at 3:11 am.  38mm SS with white sport band

    still no charge on my charge card and still says processing on my order

    To be honest with you, I don't thing that's the reason why the SS Space Black shipping slipped to July. Apple is obviously having constrains producing them, they don't even have the Space Black in-store to try.

    Dont worry.  If we were famous...we all would of had our watches 2 weeks ago. i was up at 3am est and got the 4/24-5/8 ship notice. I ordered 42mm ss black classic and still nothing. Apple really let me Down with this "launch" ....total screw up

    I can agree with you on that.

     

    We all know the reason why the "famous" are getting the watches, they are acting as a commercial stand for apple. Just because Shakira has a new Apple watch I want one too... this is our (costumers) fault.

    I Don't understand the password requirement to check on an order either. It wasn't required to order, just my print with Apple pay.

    I ordered a Pink Sports watch and the order went through at 12:05 PST. Has anyone seen any movement on the pink sport?

    Info for anyone in the UK, my order is showing as processing still but Apple have taken payment from my account so looks like things are starting to move in the UK at long last. I ordered the 42mm aluminium with white band. Roll on Friday!

    42mm silver aluminum with pink as well. Order confirmation at 3:08am EST. No movement or charge.

    Ok all, we are about 30 min away (10am PDT) from them kicking off the second day of shipping notices (they started at that time yesterday so I am making an assumption). Good luck all. I'm still hoping that my 42mm Steel with Black Sport will move to shipping today too.

    My card appears to have been charged now too, but order status hasn't changed from processing yet.

    Fingers crossed for Friday now!

     

    At least it appears things in the UK have started moving along now too!

    Just wondering do you think perhaps more difficult charges may cause delays in shipment? I have mine mostly being paid on a gift card and then the rest coming from my personal debit card (gifted enough for the watch but not apple care). So do you think it would cause issues or there is literately just a bank of computers somewhere that auto charge as soon as shipments get scanned or something?
