Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    You have to keep in mind that the spreadsheet, this forum, reddit, macrumors, etc. do not represent a true statistical sampling of the people who ordered, what model/band combination they ordered, etc. To begin with, the sample is 'self selected'. Secondly, the vast majority of the people who ordered are undoubtedly taking Apple's word on when their watches will ship, based on the order acknowledgment they received.

    FYI- Ordered 38mm SS sport band 4/16/15.  Delivered yesterday 5/5/15.  Once you get notice your credit card has been charged, it is a matter of days. 3 in my case.

    Anybody anywhere in the world that has ordered a 42mm space black SS case with space black link bracelet heard anything about it "preparing for shipment" yet? Mine is due for delivery between 12/05-26/05 and had ordered on the 10th email confirmation timed at 8:03 GMT, just spoke to apple advisor in Belfast whos just told me I should expect movement anytime now up to the 12th May

    I ordered the same watch - SS Space Black 42mm.  Confirmation email at 3:03ET on 4/10.  No movement as of this time.

    So you ordered the exact same watch at the exact same time. Apparently the woman in Belfast claims we are the second batch of watches to be delivered for example April was the first, May the second, June the third etc. I asked why the band alone 42mm SS link bracelet was shipping before the watch orders had been fulfilled there was no real answer to that. Hoping we see "preparing for shipment" soon

    Is it 12 May yet? No? So why are you worrying about it. NO ONE here can make it happen any faster.

    Apparently other people who ordered different models and got the same ship times got their watches already.  The guy is just eager to get his watch, same as all of us, and was wondering if anyone who ordered the same watch had heard anything yet.  No harm in that, I don't think.

    Credit card charged:  May 6, 2015 at 12:38 AM EDT

    Shipment notification:  May 6, 2015 at 12:24 PM CDT

    Promised delivery date:  May 7, 2015

     

    Also ordered a Black sports band to fit this watch on April 19, 2015 at same time.  Still in processing mode, with May availability.

     

    Am very excited!  The size and band ordered seem to be critically important in determining when the watch is shipped.

    Who said I was worrying? I merely asked if anyone had heard anything that had ordered the same watch as me, if your not one that has ordered the same watch as me then your opinion is worth nothing

    I ordered the 42 mm BSB Space Grey on April 10th at 2:14 CST (CDT) with estimated shipping time on 5/13 - 5-27

     

    It is still showing as "processing items" ...Anyone else from the the Chicago/midwest area have similar times and received any shipping updates or order change?
