Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    No, they did not tell you after the fact.

    They told buyers when they could expect to receive their delivery before placing an order.  No one was given a delivery date that Apple didn't meet, and no one was told their order was going to be delayed after they actually ordered.

    I understand your problem, and I'm waiting to until June. No other time frame given yet....So when July 1st comes along then i can have a complaint.

     

    And when they do these pre-orders, I don't think there is 38 versions of the product to choose from. So this is why it is taking so long. If you have one object, like a computer, phone or tablet, they can make mass productions of these items and store in warehouses until people want them. They cannot do this with this certain pre-order.

     

    Sport - 10 versions

    Watch - 20 versions

    Edition - 8 versions

     

    Just hang in there. You will get your watch in soon. And make sure you post your watch on you so we can see it.

    On the plus side, Apl*AppleOnlineStoreUS just charged my AppleCare+ on my M/C.

     

    So things are looking up......

    Hey Yanks they call that a pre authorization for the final purchase.... That happens after you place the order....

    I have to say I was pretty pleased with the processing of my order. True, I did originally think all or most pre-orders would deliver around the 24th so I was a little disappointed when I went to order on the 14th and my expected ship date was May 15-29, but I'm familiar with the concept of back orders, especially with such an in-demand new product, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I was very pleasantly surprised when my 38mm Apple Watch with Milanese loop arrived on May 5. Good job, Apple.

    Never mind long delivery times, I cannot figure out the logic of my order page.

    My delivery states 4-6 weeks (27th May -9th June).

    27th to 9th is 2-4 weeks away dear Mr Apple!!!!

    How thick are you, did you not go to school?

    Adrian, my order page states "shipping" in 4-6 weeks and "delivery" between May 13 - May 27. Not sure yours is the same but that's how mine is. Good news is Apple is currently sending everything next day air.

    Unless they do it every month just to make sure the funds are in the account.

     

    Had one charge or hold on 4/12 @ 19:15 hrs EST

     

    Had another charge or hold on 5/13 @ 14:55 hrs EST.

     

    Can anyone confirm if they are doing this monthly? Im confused on why they did this twice....

    First one was a temp authorization, second one is probably your charge. Check it with your bank.
