Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    Not that it's the end of the world but I am getting a bit miffed with Apple.  I ordered a 42mm SG/BSB with a 4/10 xx:04 confirmation and my shipping window is still 5/29-6/11 while many with later order times have already received their watches.  Would really like to know how orders were prioritized.

    I ordered silver. I actually had to pay UPS $5 to have them deliver it a day later. There is no way I can take off from work tomorrow so I'll have to wait until Wednesday. I did not want to pre-sign and have it sitting on my porch all day.

    It is a nice looking watch. I was caught by surprise when it shipped. It had arrived in the U.S. without any notification.

    Why would you pay $5.00 for having them deliver a day after, anyways if you are not there they would re-schedule to deliver the next day at NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!

    Update to my post earlier for 42mm SB SS SBLB

     

    The status has changed from "Preparing to Ship" to "Shipped" and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow May 19th.

     

    Again, ordered April 10, xx:03 PST with original estimated shipping of May 13 - May 27

    My first response did not post for some reason.

    I know, I should have let them try to deliver it and then come back the next day. I used the UPS app and chose "reschedule delivery". I was then prompted to pay the $5. If you miss the delivery two or three times it goes back to the processing facility which is a bit far from my house. Stupid I know but I was desperate.

    Just received tracking info. Order was shipped from Ontario CA and will be here tomorrow by 3pm.  I live on West Coast in Oregon so I figured it would be shipped from California. Thanks Apple I'm happy you delivered on your promises.

     

    I think the next time I'm faced with a 4-6 week preorder I will probably wait till they get into the Apple Stores locally. This experience was too nerve wracking.

    I know....I know....they did state the correct dates, but frankly I would rather wait till I can walk into a store and buy it from now on. I felt silly getting so worked up over this preorder but I don't like waiting that long to get my product. It is what it is, but I may react differently next time.

     

    Oh and thanks to everyone who posted on this thread. It helped me understand how they were handling their orders and what to expect next.

     

    For all of you still in the waiting mode......Hang in there!

    My SG BSB 42mm (order confirmation email April 10th xx:22) has just changed to 'Preparing for Dispatch'.

    I'm in the UK, how long until I get it I wonder, does anyone know?

     

    Looks like the SG BSB are really starting to pick up with the shipping pace.

    My dates where 27 May - 9 June. So its shipping a tiny bit early.

     

    I'm glad because I go on vacation for the entire original shipping window.

    My SG BSB 42mm is still in the processing stage. Delivery Window is May 29- June 11. The wait is killing me.
