Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    Well when you pre-sing for delivery, you go in front of a panel of judges and they vote whether or not you get your watch

     

    But to answer your actual question, they leave the package and are not held responsible if it gets stolen.

    I have pre-signed many times for expensive items. I have never had anything go missing but you never know. I was uncomfortable with leaving my watch on the front porch all day so I decided to stay home and wait for it.

     

    You you could have it sent to a neighbour or relative who will be home.

    If you cant receive the watch personally you have to presign. Its a printed document that you fill out with your name and signature giving authorization to a third party for watch delivery. UPS will accept a scanned pdf document but it has to be printed out to be handed over. Good luck.

    Yesterday I contacted Apple by chat and told them they should not treat customers like this. People who were odering the same watch after mere getting theirs before me. Well I just got my shipping notice and tracking number saying it will be here tomorrow. My original window was 5/29 - 6/11 for the SG BSB.

    My Apple Watch shipping timeline. I hope it helps others that are anxiously waiting!

     

    I ordered a 42mm Stainless Steel Case with Black Classic Buckle on April 10th at 3:01 p.m. PDT. On May 20th at 9:00 p.m. my credit card was charged and the Watch order status moved to Preparing for Shipment. On May 21st at about 2:00 p.m. I received a text that the order was shipped. My UPS account emailed a notice that the shipment was sent Next Day Air Saver, and will arrive on May 22nd between 12:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. The order showed "Standard Shipping", but it was actually sent Next Day.

     

    So, I ordered on the first day it was available, in the afternoon, and it took six weeks. Longer than I expected for ordering on the first day, but at least it's finally on the way!

    Yay, my 42mm Space Grey  Watch is out for delivery today. I ordered 13th April. Est delivery was 27th May - 10th June. (Note I'm in Australia if that makes any difference)

    UUnfortunately not. I've pretty much given up on getting it early. I went ahead and ordered a 38mm bsb and it shipped same day. Plan on turnNing it back in before the window and either buying another one until my sb gets here.

    I Was going to cancel my sb and stick with this but the 38 mm just isn't doing it for me at all. It's just entirely to small for my wrist.
