Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    From what I've read so far in other topics, the BSB is one of the most popular models next to the modern buckle.. Currently "Unavailable".  There are people getting their BSB watches now, but most of them ordered within the first day or two of preoders being available.  I'm not really sure what to tell you other than to just be patient, or contact apple directly for help.

    I asked the apple rep on the chat and they said it won't matter, because If someone orders today they wouldn't get it earlier than you. Even if it says 4-6 weeks, like mine says 5-6 weeks.

    I will probably contact Apple because if someone who ordered now was to get it sooner than me who ordered it weeks ago would be outrageous.

    I think the agent was correct, if someone orders today they will get theirs AFTER you. I think the dates on the existing orders are conservative. Mine said 5-6 weeks last week and then it shipped yesterday.

    My "Preparing for shipment" to "Shipped" took about three days.. but it was over a weekend.  Went "Preparing for shipment" on a Friday and was Shipped on the Monday.. Delivered yesterday.

     

    But that was just for a strap.. Fits perfectly.. Lol.

    WWish they would update the conservative dates to something more accurrate. Feel like I've been waiting forever. It's been a month since I ordered mine and it's not estimated to arrive until 22nd-29th June :-(

    What about how they are talking about getting the watches in stores? Would it be possible for someone to get the watch in store before someone who has ordered it online? Hope not.

    everyone in autralia is getting theres fast

     

    im suspecting they are sending quantities of a number of different watches to distribution centres on different cities  and then releasing them in order based on time ordered from that location

     

    Since there are less people in australia then the united states I would say having 1 dis centre in australia is better then 2-3 in the US..

     

    the aussies look to have an advantage here

    There was someone complaining about the exact same thing yesterday in regards to China getting their orders for the same watch before them.. and having ordered after them.

    actually you should hope so...

     

    if the stores started getting stock of the watches.... people will start cancelling there pre-orders and you'll move up in line

     

    i welcome the store availability.

     

    I really want my space grey... but I'm sure there are others out there that would impulse buy another model and then cancel whatever model they have to get it earlier

    That is a valid point, however I do not think it would be right of Apple to release watches to people who have not ordered online and been waiting weeks.
