Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    I read through quite a few pages to finally get to the response page.  Lol. Phew!

     

    I ordered the watch, 38mm Sport White Silver, on 4/10, I ordered it between 12:05 - 12:10 AM, I received my confirmation email from Apple at 12:16am.  My delivery date is states as being 4/24-5/8.  The charge is Pending, and the Expire date is 4/25.  So I'm fairly 99.9% sure I'll receive the watch on Friday.  I live in northern California and it ships from southern California.  I also ordered an extra charging cable to take with me in my purse or leave in the car that shipped yesterday and should arrive tomorrow via FedEx.  (Even though that was states as being a May 1-7 delievery).

    Ordered the 42mm Space Grey Sport watch on April 10, confirmation at 3:03am Eastern. I'm located east of Cincinnati in southern Ohio and still have yet to see a charge to my CC and any kind of update to my order status which is still showing "Processing." This is incredibly frustrating to see watches ordered after me with later shipping date windows being prepared for shipment before mine. Of course, the SKU I ordered was clearly the highest in demand and has complicated the issue worse. I'm still incredibly hopeful that I'll change before tomorrow night and if the overnight shipping rumors are true maybe I'll see it Friday. If not though, how can you pay a premium price for a premium product and not have it arrive on the ADVERTISED LAUNCH DAY. Huge screw up for Apple when it comes to public relations. Oh well though, not the end of the world!

    Go to UPS, track my reference use your email or your phone number and you will get a tracking number and the weight of the package.

    If you do get something how much does your package weight?

    my watch bad shows as 2.70 pounds on the tracking info.  Hope this helps rusty5101.  Looks like you have a watch coming to you

    what you are forgetting is that you received a delivery window, not a delivery day.  If you don't have your watch within the window, then you can blame apple for screwing it all up.

    Why even advertise a launch day if it can't be bought in store that day? They planned an online only pre-order with the 24th as the launch day not a launch window.

    This is what MacRumors explains about her memo: "The earliest Apple Watch pre-orders listed ambiguous delivery dates of 4/24 to 5/8, but Apple's head of retail Angela Ahrendts stated in a memo to employees last week that "customers who pre-ordered will start receiving deliveries next Friday as planned," so customers who managed to pre-order in the minutes before shipping dates started slippingwill see deliveries this week."


    I take this as we will get them on Friday even if it still shows Processing.

    and some people will get their watches on the launch day, others may not be so fortunate.  Like it or not, the product will launch on the 24th.  Your delivery day starts there but extends on out, and apple has every right to give you your watch on the last possible day if they want.

    SStill no shipment info.  been preparing to ship since Monday.

    We tend to see this with every iPhone/iPad launch.  Sometimes it doesn't make sense on why some people who ordered later are getting shipments earlier.  I think it really has to do with the shipping logistics that we have no knowledge of.  I ordered at 3:03 AM Eastern and I'm still at the "processing" stage.  There is another "rumor" going around that Apple is shipping these almost as custom orders so as not to have thousands of already customized watches sitting on a shelf.  Who knows - this has been a very different type of launch for Apple.  Fingers crossed for a Friday delivery - but I'm not counting on it.  With every launch I've always received a notification by the latest on a Tuesday.  Good luck everyone, it will be worth the wait!

    WWhat good is it to be prepared for shipping if there is still no shipping info on wed. Everyone else is getting shipping info
