Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    StangAddict I understand the frustration but you aren't comparing the same product. Those are two totally different skus. It would be like going into a store and being mad your girlfriend got an awesome pair of jeans even though she came in 15 minutes later when they were out of your style even though you were there earlier.

    I get that and your band explanation makes sense. What throws me is the order numbers. Granted I have no idea what the numbers represent. The orders were also confirmed at 3:02 (me) and 3:03am (her) EDT, 12:02/03 PDT, as well.

    I spoke to Apple and they confirmed a signature is required for the Apple Watch.  No pre-signing allowed due to the watch being "high value" and "highly sought after".

    It is hard to tell with out being an Apple employee but I bet they may have different lead numbers to reference different SKUs (products).

    Same here. 42mm SS black sport band is processing. Reserved it 12:03 Pacific time. I've been following a post and I think I only saw about 2 or 3 of the same configuration being shipped.

    From Louisiana.....

    I received a shipping notice email from Apple and UPS My Choice has the tracking information. I ordered the sport model with the white band. Spoke to Apple via chat and they stated the Apple Watch is considered "high value and highly sought after" so a signature will be required for delivery. No pre-signing allowed for the watch.

    I've ordered the same model as you but 38mm instead of 42mm.  Have you noticed any of the 38s black, space gray shipping?  My email confirmation came though 12:02 and my credit card hasn't been charged & the order is still processing.  I did get my extra charger today!  Just curious if the link you'd been following showed any info on 38s.  Thanks in advance, and good luck tomorrow.

    It looks like zero Space Grey Sports have been given shipping notice. Perhaps those were manufactured and sent out to other countries at a different time than all the other models? It's interesting that the most popular model has zero shipping status.

    I saw a few but not sure if it was the grey/ black ss or aluminum. Honestly I've just been looking for post with the same order as mine. I think it's about a 40/60 toss up that I will get it tomorrow lol.

    Can anyone sign for it? Usually our doormen or concierge take all the packages and do a mass sign for it. Then we have to sign for it from the front desk of our building when we pick it up from them.

    In the 42mm SS sport band boat. Frustrated. Although, I will give them some credit. They never promised I would get it day one. The delivery daye has always been from 24th to the 8th. There clearly was a reason they made it such and that they were aware of stocking issues beforehand. As far as the sports being shipped - I have no doubt that the actual production time for those is much lower.

    So you think you should get your watch before someone else because you paid more? That is not a nice thing to say. Apple is shipping watches based on how they feel they should ship not based on who has more money to spend. Also, maybe the people that "spent a quarter" of what you spent did that because that is what they wanted to spend. Wow, talk about entitled!
