Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    I ordered mine at 3:03 ET 38mm space gray, still in processing as well. We do still have today, although someone had mentioned that they stop shipping orders at 1pm ET? Is this true?

    ii believe they start sending shipping notices at 1PM EDT - thats 10 AM in California - and they stop at 8PM California time which is 11 PM on the east coast of the US

    42mm sport Space Gray with a black plastic band....at 3:05am also in NYC.  Still waiting to process for CC charge and shipping.  I think they have a shortage of that model.  Apple misread the demand for that model.  I am very surprised and disappointed at them.  Still time.....but i am losing confidence as the clock ticks down.

    Got my shipping notification,  I can bring it up on USP and it is showing to be delivered tomorrow but it does not show where it is coming from.  I sadly have 2 big concerns, 1-My UPS driver here at work just told me that he is on vacation as of the end of day today, i have always had a good relationship with him so i know he would have brought it to me early in the day. 2-Living in Oklahoma there is a lot of bad weather moving in tonight and all day tomorrow.  Will my watch be able to make it here.  Such a frustrating wait. I hope everyone else gets their watch tomorrow.  Good luck all!!

    Humboldt County. I'm almost positive that if you received the "condolences email" that you're pretty much screwed for a launch day watch. The black aluminum sport model is the watch that got hit the hardest and I'm nearly certain Apple didn't realize the overwhelming demand for that model specifically, but they should have.

     

    At this point I'm pretty certain we won't get our watches til mid to late next week and that might be optimistic. But, of course, it is still Thursday. We won't know for sure until tonight if we're screwed or not. Oh well. All of my accessories wont deliver til early May anyway. Guess I gotta stick it out with my crappy Pebble a little while longer.

    I agree....they totally misread the demand for that particular model.......very disappointed at them.

    At least the pebble makes a good water proof music remote for the shower. That's what I used it before I sold it on ebay.

    THERE is no way Apple was blind sided by the Sport Space grey popularity. 1. they have billions of dollars and did many focus groups and research over the demand. They knew. 2. People could favorite which model they wanted months ago telling Apple what was popular.

     

    I think the Space Grey is simply in a different state of manufacturing considering dark metal requires a finish and time. They probably got shipped out from China in a different box than the plain bodies.

    Anybody get charged on 4/20, and get there status changed to Preparing for Shipment, and are able to find their package by reference number (phone number), and did NOT receive Apple's "Dear John" letter not received shipping confirmation yet? I also ordered the 42mm Apple Watch Sport Space Gray w/ Black Band.

    Something about how Apple is processing people's orders or something. There are copies of the letter in the thread. And that they'll get them as soon as the can send them.
