Update to iOS 8.3 killed my Apple lightning to VGA adapter

I updated to iOS 8.3 today, and my Apple Lightning to VGA adapter quit working. It gives the message "The monitor is not supported", or something to that effect a. It worked just fine before the update, and now my adapter is surely out of warranty.

Does anyone one know if there is a way to make it work again? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
