For the ones who posted the System Profile part, this is consistent. All using 8GB in both slots for a total of 16GB. (DDR3 1600 MHz)

Can everyone experiencing this issue post their RAM please? (Or just the System Profile part from the Panic Report). Is anyone experiencing this issue that does not have 16GB installed?

Also... @Linc Davis ... kernel extensions are not in and of themselves harmful and even Adobe Suite and many professional programs use installers. (And thus put content in places that is not the application itself, that's what an installer does, distribute files to different locations). I've used Sophos (mentioned here) and Karabiner (in another log) in Mavericks and prior. Both are fully updated and compatible with Yosemite. (note that an out-of-date kernel extension can cause issues with the OS due to obsolete referencing, but that's a whole other bag of worms) I do not believe these kernel extensions to be a problem or they would have been crashing Mavericks.

To anyone dealing with this issue as well, is your install of Yosemite a clean install? Or just on top of Mavericks/Prior. Mine's clean but I'm just wondering.

It happened again today; this started happened to me daily after the supplemental update and it had quieted down until today. I have a Mac mini 2012 Quadcore i7. I installed 10.10.2 a few weeks ago and had no problems!

After installing 10.10.3 I have daily problems. Sometimes the monitor simply went black and the mini restarted without any message. Then I get kernel crashes. It happens in different situations and sometimes also when I am not doing anything on the mini (I was away for 10 minutes and after coming back there was a kernel crash)

I am using Mac OS X since it was available and I never had any kernel crash before!

Mac OS X 10.9 killed my firewire drives because they don't go to sleep anymore

Mac OS X 10.10 doesn't work correctly with my thuderbolt drive because it is disconnected after sleep mode

Mac OS X 10.10.3 brings me kernel crashes and other crashes

This is not longer acceptable!

Just chiming in on my Early-2015 13" rMBP. I'd noticed some odd behavior in 10.10.2 on my Mid-2011 Macbook Air, and similar things after purchasing the rMBP, but the kernel panics are new to the latest 10.10.3 update(s). Thus far I've narrowed the possible problematic parts to USB bus, VMware Fusion, Little Snitch, and memory allocation. How they tie together is still a mystery, but here's my addition to the pile:

I have been having an issue that is very similar to the OS X 10.10.3 crashes. As seen in this thread: iTunes crashes Yosemite 10.10.3 to black screen

I'm running a Mac Pro (late 2013) which came with 16GB of RAM that I upgraded to 128GB (OWC RAM upgrade). I replaced my upgraded RAM with the original and found it made no difference. So it's not a RAM problem with my machine unless both sets of RAM I have are bad. But they are both less than a month old.

I should add I just purchased the Mac Pro this past March. I'm hoping to get it serviced by the Genius bar at Apple. Hope they can figure it out.

I have been sending my reports to Apple in hopes that they come out with a fix.

I've uninstalled just about each third party app listed in this thread as well as other threads on the similar issue.

Also - I don't necessarily have a "Kernel Panic" in the log for each time it crashes. It will crash to a black screen and reboot automatically with absolutely nothing being logged in Console under "System Diagnostic Reports".

Hey, that's the same that I have!

The first 10 times I had kernel cashes but now I am only getting these black screen crashes.

Also sometimes my mini does not find the boot drive after this crash and he es booting the recovery partition.

Very, very sad!

Please have a look at this thread. It would probably best if people having this annoying issue get together in one discussion: Cold restarts after 10.10.3 update.

Clean install on late-2013 iMac with 16 GB RAM. Apps were migrated from previous system to base Yosemite system using the procedure provided by Apple (i.e. copy only the folders identified by Apple). That ran fine up through 10.10.3 but it exploded with that update. Prior to that time, peaches. No panics, no faults of any kind. My system is now stripped of any add-ons except for one from TechSmith which is difficult to remove. No matter what peripherals or software changes, the symptom is always the same: black screen crash and no recovery except to unplug it.

It appears to be some sort of compatibility problem for everyone I've seen complaining about it but no-one seems quite sure what it is.

I can't backout as Final Cut 10.2 updated the libraries and lower versions can't open them. There isn't sufficient disk space to back up all my video so Time Machine covers the system volume only.

Having the same issue as others posting on this, and other threads. I've only experienced frequent panics since updating from 10.10.2 to 10.10.3 on my Mac mini (Late 2012) 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 CPU: 4-core, 8 GB RAM.

Panic logs (4 of them, out of the 6 panics experienced) and EtreCheck reports are available if anyone is interested in seeing them.

I've been going back and forth with the Little Snitch devs as well as testing out theories regarding the role menu item graphics may be playing (threads referenced below). Here is the last bit of correspondence between myself and the guys at ObDev (ObDev Bug Ref #36504):

According to your descriptions and after a brief look at the panic I would assume that this is somehow caused by some incompatibility of the VMware and Little Snitch kernel extensions, but I would have to do some deeper research and talk to one of our developers to verify if Little Snitch is actually in the backtrace of the panic.

So far can you possibly give me some further hints on your configuration so I can try to reproduce the issue on one of our test machines?

There should be no general incompatibility between VMware Fusion and Little Snitch but possibly something which is significant on your configuration does lead to the panic.

Do you run your fresh installation of OS X 10.10.3 on an internal or external (USB-)drive?

Maybe you can even uninstall Little Snitch for a while just to check if this keeps the panics away.

I'm happy to report that I've had exactly _0_ kernel panics since moving Little Snitch out of the menu bar and disabling the traffic monitor popup window (~3 days now). I also (unintentionally) disabled the VMware Fusion Menubar icon while reinstalling VMware (which could also be a factor), but the pieces are definitely starting to come together from a mitigation standpoint.

Additionally, during the last clean reinstall I intentionally did not setup any iCloud configs. Knowing the sordid history of Bluetooth/Wifi/Bonjour advertisements/awdl0/etc., combined with the USB/Bluetooth IO errors in the panic logs, it seemed prudent. I'd love to have iMessage continuity back, but I'm enjoying the newfound relative stability too much right now to risk re-enabling it.
