Apple TV to LG-42LH20D

Hi all,

I have a brand new (3rd gen) Apple TV just out of the box. It appears to be working fine, but plugging it into my television (LG-42LH20D) via HDMI produces no result.

The HDMI cable is working without issue with the blu-ray player.

I'm going to try it on another TV/HDMI cable next week, but was hoping someone could suggest a solution in the meantime - although I hope there isn't a compatibility issue with my television, it IS a few years old. :/

appletv is default fullhd 1080p your tv is only 720p called hd ready http://www.lg.com/au/tvs/lg-42LH20D-lcd-tv

you need to lower the appletv's resolution before it works with your tv

Thanks Rudegar. Turns out it was multiple problems - both the resolution and the (insufficient?) HDMI cable. All fixed now!
