Location Based Reminder Won't Go Away

I created a location based reminder using IOS 8.2 on my iPhone 6. I updated to IOS 8.3, the reminder remained and went off on the day/location that I requested. I tapped "Completed" and thought I was finished with it. Now everyday when I return to that location, the reminder goes off. I have tapped "Completed" and also "Delete" but the next time I arrive in that location, the reminder sounds off again and is back. I even tried deleting the "to do" list that it was attached to and it still appears every time I return to the location. I have tried turning Reminders off and then back on again but it is still there. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
