April 13th update, dangerous?

I'm glad that I checked here before updating. The update info sounded good, but I have had too many problems in the last few years with apple updates so I usually check here before taking a chance on the increasingly unreliable Apple updates. It seems that I may have saved myself a lot of time by not updating. My question is do these problems only apply to Panasonic footage, which I don't have, or would I be taking a chance with other footage. I really don't want to find I've let myself in for days of extra work.
