Force Touch Trackpad related

Hi, all. Recently I've bought the 13" MBPr 2015 with the all-new Force Touch Trackpad.

I've been using Magical Trackpad for more than three years and I stick to the "tap to click" feature.

But now I found that the Force Touch Trackpad took harder tap to register a click.

Any ways to alter this setting possible? Thanks. šŸ˜€

Hello DreamSeason,

Thanks for your question. The resource below will explain how you can change the sensitivity of the trackpad in System Preferences on your Mac.

Change trackpad settings

To adjust the pressure you need to click your trackpad, follow these steps.

  1. From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. Click Trackpad.
  3. Click the "Point & Click" tab.
  4. Find "Click pressure" and adjust the slider to your preference. Note that the sound of the click changes with the click pressure setting.

To turn off Force click, deselect the ā€œForce Click and haptic feedbackā€ checkbox. This will disable the functionality described in the Trackpad preferences pane.
