Our College uses Apple Configurator to manage a fleet of iPads. Over the past while, I cannot refresh the iPads because when they are connected to the Configurator, the new iOS will not download. The error message that I get is:
Unable to download iOS 8.3 Request Timed Out
-1001 NSURLErrorDomain
-1001 KCFErrorDomainCFNetwork
I am using the latest version of the Configurator (1.7.2) and I am running Yosemite 10.10.3.
I am operating within the College's network and firewall and my IT department has been helping me to make sure that the network is configured properly and that firewall ports are open, but I am still not having any luck. Over what port does the Configurator use to connect to the Apple iOS update servers? FTP, FTP25, HTTP80, SSH443?
Could there be any other reason why the iOS wont download? Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
