Pages '08: Would like to send inspector behind template -- click doc to bring forward, or click inspector to bring forward

It would be better if I could just send the inspector behind my document and bring it forward on click, same with template. Be able to click on the document or inspector bringing each to the front when needed.

I am on a laptop so the screen is small and I always have to slide the inspector way off the screen, leaving a small portion of it in view so I can pull it back when needed. But I have to always move it out of the way.

I looked in "view" and "preferences" but don't see anything referring to that option. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have Pages '08, 3.0.3. I'm on a MacBook Air. My OS is 10.6.8
