Web page I wrote using text edit is not working in Safari but does work in Foxfire
<marquee> displays a number of dance flyers scrolling from right to left. Safari does not display them all, it goes so far and then starts over at the beginning. The Foxfire browser displays it correctly. Safari did work before one of the updates of the OS

Problem did not start until OS update. It displays part of the content of the <marquee> and goes back to the start. If it starts it should go all the way?
Hi there,
Days ago I've made changes in my HTML code and added a <marquee> effect in my navbar ( attached image) with a new year's message.
However, the message shows but the <marquee> effect it's frozen. It's a very simple snippet and Nu Checker doesn't show any markup error.

The Marquee tag has long since been deprecated. And was never fully supported on all browsers. While some browsers may still support it, its not a feature to rely on.

Yes, but its still deprecated / obsolete. It can cease to be supported at any time. Safari no longer supports it and other browsers may follow suit shortly. You should not expect continued support for deprecated tags.
Thanks to Joseph Marikle my marquee works as expected!!! Opening my website through Safari marquee animation plays exactly the same way as on Chrome and all the other browsers!
