my apple tv showed a cord unplugged on the screen. Did the restore from ITunes and now the light just flashes rapidly and same logo shows up. Any ideas?

I experienced the same thing on the SAME day (just last night) except I haven't restored it. Meaning I DID not want to restore the unit and LOSE all the Movies I had on the unit. Interesting that this occurred the same day you had your problem. Instructions state that you should be able to restore without losing the media but there was NO option on iTunes to restore & save!! Just an option to restore back to default losing all your purchased media. I hope you would share any solutions with me if you discover one before I do, and I will do the same. TangoPapa54
I have a Gen 3 model and followed instructions and RESTORED the unit via iTunes. My movies are still available via iCloud. So I think I'm good
The 2nd and 3rd gen devices have no accessible storage, all content is streamed. The OP has already restored so it's likely a hardware issue and needs to be tested by Apple
