My ipad 2 only connects to the computer for a few minutes then disconnects a while after & won't stay connected for the restore & software update to finish from itunes. Also when its plugged in it stays on the apple logo forever, it just won't go on. What can I do to fix this?

How can i make my ipad 2 stay connected to computer to allow update to finish from itunes?

My ipad 2 only connects to the computer for a few minutes then disconnects a while after & won't stay connected for the restore & software update to finish from itunes. Also when its plugged in it stays on the apple logo forever, it just won't go on. What can I do to fix this?
