Copy an audio loop's left channel and duplicate it over to the right.

I've got an audio loop that has noise in its right channel. When I pan it hard left the noise disappears. How do I duplicate the track (a simple bassline) so I can re-produce only the left channel on the original loop panned hard right on a duplicate track? Once I've done this I'll try and bring them both back toward the centre as they can be treated like a mono bassline .

If you look at the channel strip, at the input slot, you'll see a symbol that looks like two intersecting circles. Click-hold on that to get a menu. Among the options is 'left' which will turn the channel into a mono channel that only plays the left side content.
