I have an Yamaha RX-V777 receiver with airplay.
The problem is the range is crap.
Can i use an airport express with the receiver and get these to work together and get a better range?
Or maybe an airport extreme also..?
An express can be used if you already have airport for wireless as extender.. or you can place it close the amplifier and plug in the Optical out port for sound directly to the AMP.
You can use an extreme as wireless extender only .. it has no sound out ability which is reserved to the express.
But apple routers can only extend wireless to other apple routers.. please don't buy apple routers as wireless repeaters with other brands.. they will not work.
