Tingling Sensation when charging Macbook Pro 13 inch 2015 with Force Touch

I have exact the same problem. Just bought my Macbook Pro 13 inch on 15 April. And I use a 3 pin charger. I also noticed some sparks when I tried to connect a hub to the USB C port. The MBP is unable to detect the memory card. Wondering if the high voltage has shorted the USB C port. Check yours if the USB C ports still work.

I called the Apple helpline. They said this problem shouldn't be there and suggested I check with the retailer. I took my MBP back to the retailer. They tested it of a while. and made a one for one exchange as the problem was reported within the "return" period. It seems that some people are not sensitive enough to detect the current leakage. Probably an inherent problem.

Usually that indicates a bad ground in the source system. Perhaps a licensed electrician should be employed to check out the wiring.

IN the meantime before you get to the Apple Store use the power cord and its associated power brick that has the 3 prong plug at the end. The 3rd prong is the ground plug and should eliminate the tingle.

Use th 3-prong AC power adapter cable plugged into a properly-grounded AC outlet. Without the proper ground, the sensation is normal.
