Photos appearing as blank rectangles

Since I goto Photos, the migrated photos from Aperture are appearing correctly (although all projects have disappeared) however new photos from My Photo Stream do not appear : Photos just displays blank rectangles. By right-clicking on the rectangle, it is possible to get info on the photo, which sort of confirms that the photo is there. However it is not possible to view the photo. Has someone faced the same issue ?

Have you tried to repair the Photos library?

To repair hold down the alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking the iPhoto Library to launch the Photos Library First aid tools. Hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.

The select "Repair".

But make a current backup of your Photos Library before you try this.
