Server Update 4.1 mailbox location

After updating to Server 4.1 it seems mail is not being delivered to the correct location i.e. /Library/Server/Mail/Data/mail/<UID>

I can see that the previous mail is still there, but new users clients email boxes are empty of old mail but new mail is appearing. Anyone else seen this issue and know the fix?

Hi Tim,

Have you checked the location of your service data? Is that still in the right location?

Go to the server.app, select the server itself in the top left and go to Settings.

Does that still represent the correct location?

Also permissions might have been changed for the dovecot folder, check those as well:

/Library/Server/Mail/Data/mail -> should be owned by -> _dovecot:mail

Any error-messages on other services or during the upgrade?

Goodluck

The settings match where I found the new mail (obfuscation of data). What I'm not sure of is where they found this very old paths.

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:0:path = "/Users/mail/nnnn/dovecot"

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:0:partition = "...couk"

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:1:path = "/Users/mail/kkkk/dovecot"

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:1:partition = "...couk"

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:2:path = "/Users/mail/pppp/dovecot"

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:2:partition = "...com"

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:3:path = "/Users/mail/dddd/dovecot"

mail:imap:partitions:_array_index:3:partition = "...house"
