Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Mail will not quit

I cannot access Mail. Click on it, it shows active but will not open. I cannot shut the Macbook down either - Mail prevent me from.

1. Force Quit .


Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.

When Force Quit window appears, select Mail if not already.

Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.

Mail will quit.


2. If this doesn't help, press the power button down for 7 seconds or more.

Mac should shut down.


Launch Mail.
