Tap and hold down on the line of text that you want to copy, Drag the blue selection bars to modify the exact text that you want to copy.
Then hold down on the area that you want to paste the text and select Paste. The copied and pasted text will appear below this screenshot.

Another thing, if you have multiple things to c/p is to use the notes app as a holding area.
Do just like above to copy, then you can paste into the notes app and copy from there to paste into something else
I've used this when I've had to paste several things or the same thing multiple times
