Safari 6.2.5 won't open

Updated to Safari 6.2.5 using Mountain Lion (10.8.5). After restart, 6.2.5 won't open. Message says "6.2.5 may not be compatible with Mountain Lion. May have to reinstall Safari 6.2.5". What is the problem? How do you reinstall Safari? Thanks.
