Tamil fonts on my Mac (Word) get distorted. Need help

Tamil fonts get distorted when I use Murasu Anjal on my Word for Mac. Hence, i have been using Open office. How di I put it right in word for Mac?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
