I have no "Computer" icon on my desktop

I have no "Computer" icon on my desktop

I just purchased a new iMac and there's no Hard Drive icon on the desktop or in the root directory. How do I access my fonts, iTunes utility folders etc?

iMac, iOS 8.3

1. Choose Preferences from the Finder menu and check the settings in the General and Sidebar tabs.

2. In the Finder, choose Computer from the Go menu.

You can click on the finder icon on your dock. Or, you can click on the finder menu -> preferences -> general, then put a checkmark next to show hard drives on desktop
