Hi, i have 2 MacBooks running OSX 10.9.5.
iPhoto is installed on both - but different versions. 9.4.3 and 9.5.1
In App Store i keep getting error 1004 when trying to update under my purchases.
Can i just copy ver. 9.5.1 and overwrite 9.4.3?

Yes. You should also be able to re-download the later version via your Purchases page in the App Store. Be sure to use the same Apple ID used for the 9.5.1 version's machine.

Thank you for your quick reply. This helped me 🙂. I made a backup and then copied the iPhoto 9.5.1 over. iPhoto automatically updated the library and now works perfect.
I talked with apple support. The 1004 error is because Apple removed iPhoto now that Photos is the new photo app. I will not be able to update through App Store and "maybe" not be able to re-download when making a clean osx install.
Can i copy iPhoto app ver. 9.5.1 to my other macbook?
