Location of keypad on page on iPad Air

tthe key pad appears in the middle of the page. How do you re-position to the bottom of page like on ipad2. At present unable to see what you are typing and have to close key pad to check

Press and hold the 'keyboard' key bottom right of the keyboard and after a second or so you should get a popup - slide your finger up to 'dock' and then remove your finger from the screen, the keyboard should then move to the bottom of the screen. You can turn off the ability to move the keyboard up the screen (and to split the keyboard into two halves) via Settings > General > Keyboards > Split Keyboard 'off'
