Wi-fi connection disconnects when screen is locked and connects again on unlocking.This issue is in iPhone 5 on iOS 8.3.
Please suggest if any settings need to be changed or it's an OS issue..

This is normal operation and has been present in all version of the iPhone. This is a power saving measure. The Wi-Fi when not in use will power down after a short period of time when the device goes to sleep and will connect immediately upon waking. The only difference is if the device is connected to power, at which time it will remain active. It is not an issue, it is the way it is designed. It is working properly.

Hi, there's a way to avoid this? I've an iPad without mobile connection - only WIFI, so, if WIFI disconnect, I can't have notifications from internet services (Viber, Skype, etc.)
Plug the ipad into a power source and the WiFi will remain active.
Yes, I understand, but I wanted to know if there was a way when I can't plug the iPad (very often I move with the pad)
The only way would to never let the iPad sleep. You would have to set the screen timeout to "Never". Of course, this will consume battery power while the screen is active, but wifi will stay on.
