Why have apple not made it abundantly clear that you will not be able to purchase Apple Watch on the 24th in stores. I only found this out asking at 2 local stores and they both said due to the online demand stores will not get any stock for the 24/4/15 launch day as we were led too believe. If you are in doubt of this check your own store WORLDWIDE

It was widely reported before April 24th that there would be no product in stores on that date.

Apple DID make it abundantly clear. First, in the two major announcements about it. Then virtually every press release, newspaper article and web news story about the watch release stated that it would only be available in the online store initially. Anyone who paid any attention would have seen this. It is also stated on Apple's website in multiple places.
