Apr 19, 2015 6:07 PM in response to NickNack27by Loner T,Insert your W8.1 DVD. Power cycle you Mac and hold Alt Key. Choose Windows (not EFI Boot) and start the installer. Pick the partition that was just created, nothing else, otherwise you will cause problems for OS X.

Apr 19, 2015 7:30 PM in response to Loner Tby NickNack27,The orientation seems to be stuck sideways on this picture, but this is where I am:
I Seem to be stuck on this screen? The underscore at the end is blinking still at this point however the DVD doesn't sound like its spinning. Thoughts? I held the power button to turn off, then started it back up and held the alt key, selected the windows disk and this pooped up. I clicked a random key and it's still sitting.

Apr 19, 2015 7:40 PM in response to NickNack27by Loner T,Disconnect all peripherals, except Keyboard and Mouse. Is there any other external storage connected?
Use BCA and select only the Download Software option, and download it to a USB2 flash drive, which will be erased, formatted and written. Leave this plugged in and test.

Apr 19, 2015 7:51 PM in response to Loner Tby NickNack27,Which type of installation do I want?
Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, settings, and applications
(The files, settings, and applications are moved to Windows with this option. This option is only available when a supported version of Windows is already running on the computer.)
Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)
(The files, settings, and applications aren't moved to Windows with this option. If you want to make changes to partitions and drivers, start the computer using the installation disc. We recommend backing up your files before you continue.)
I'm assuming I go with the "Custom"

Apr 19, 2015 8:11 PM in response to NickNack27by Loner T,You have to click on Format and let the Installer convert it to NTFS and then click Next. Make sure you have the Windows partition selected, do not wipe any other partition.
