My search engine for iPad2 notes is missing. Does anyone have the same problem?

I Just tried to do a search on my IPad 2 notes to find a particular archived note I had written and the search box is completely missing. Is anyone else having the same issue or have a resolution? Thanks.

Try pullong the list of Notes down and the searchbox should appear.

I just checked, you can also use Spotlight Search to search for notes.
