i am unable to access website links received in emails

Hi all of a sudden when I try to access links received in emails in safari in get this message "Grrr a pop up blocker may be preventing the application from opening the page. if you have a pop up blocker, try disabling it to open the window.

I get the same message when i disable pop up blockers.
