Do I need a TV?
I can't seem to find a straight answer. I don't own a Television set. I own 2 mac computers.
Can i buy the Apple TV box and use it to watch TV programming on my Mac computers?

No, that's not how the Apple TV works. It connects only to an HDTV and displays streaming Internet content.
If you want to watch TV on your Mac, you can use Elgato's eyeTV.
