I reset my phone since I forgot the passcode and its suppose to prompt me to restore from a backup but never does.

I recently forgot my passcode after changing it, and after I reset it to factory new settings it never prompted me to restore from an icloud backup. I had a backup and its called "Matthews iPod Touch" Even though it was an iPhone backup. Thats the backup I want to use but when I reset it, it never asked me to restore from a backup. I have no idea what to do and why it wont ask me. Please help.
