Reset Password/FileVault

Today I went to turn on my computer and a screen popped up telling me to Reset Password with 3 different options on how to do so, I logged into my account changed my password and then it said something about FileVault and if I restart my computer I can log in, but when I did that it keeps making me restart the cycle of Reseting the password so I cant get in to my computer. The weird thing is I don't know why I got locked out considering I didn't forget my password at all.
