Battery not charging

Hey guys,

So recently my MacBook Pro (Mid 2009 13" Core 2 Duo) stopped working, stopped charging, was so drained of power only the LED strip on the side worked, el zilcho respondo. After A LOT of digging around online and at my local apple retail representative, I replaced the internal battery and eureka! (This was yesterday). It's running nicely now... apart from 2 problems:

1) The MagSafe adapter's LED does not light up. I've tried multiple chargers from multiple outlets so this is not the problem, it seems to be the computer itself. I want to make a note that this was also happening before, during the dead battery not responding phase.

2) When i'm using the MacBook, it charges at an amazingly quick 1% per half hour. It's like watching paint dry.

I've tried resetting the SMC with the Ctr-Opt-Shift-Power approach whilst it's turned off, but doesn't seem to have made a difference (i'm right in thinking that you have to press all the buttons mentioned simultaneously, don't have to hold them down, release simultaneously, and won't get any response from the computer...?)

I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as to what's going on/why it's charging awkwardly? The battery icon on the top toolbar says that it is charging, just right now it's holding at 23% and has been at that value for around half an hour.

Thanks!

Ps. i'm assuming it's not an issue to do with the MagSafe port or connectors, as it is acknowledging the charger being plugged in etc., and the previous problem was solved by replacing the battery... I may be completely wrong though!

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), null

Run an Apple Hardware Test:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201257

Note an Apple Hardware Test is not definitive.

Open System Information>Power and post this from your MBP:

(make certain that the charger is connected)

User uploaded file

Look at the connection on the MBP and see if there is dirt, debris or any discoloration.

Mu guess based on you input is that the DC input board may be faulty.

Try another SMC reset or two:

Ciao.
