FB link in iphone contacts not working

I am using Iphone 5s iOS 8.1. As of recent I encountered a problem. My phonebook list of names are populated with Facebook addresses of my contacts. Formerly, when I click on the FB link of any one of my contacts on my phone, it used to open the timeline of my contact in FB application. Lately, however, it stopped doing that. Instead, all it does is this.... my contact's FB link opens my own FB Newsfeed.

All discussions I visited only deal with sync of FB contacts. I have no issue with synchronizing FB contacts on iphone.

Given all the issues of iOS 8.3, I did not want to upgrade my 8.1 to 8.3.

Could there be a solution to that?
