I have Safari Version 5.1.10 which is no longer supported by Yahoo or by Youtube. How do I upgrade?

Safari is a part of OS X and the only way to get a more modern version is to upgrade from 10.6.8.
Third party browsers like Chrome and Firefox are another option.

Thank you. How do I upgrade from OS X 10.6.8? When I click on the little apple icon and then click on software updates it says there are none available. I did try Firefox, but my computer did not seem to like it at all. Maybe because it is old - 2008/2009? My ignorance is glaringly obvious. lol 🙂
Your machine may not be worth upgrading because of its age.
All OS X upgrades are done online. The Apple Store sells 10.7 and 10.8 for $20 and the App Store app can be used to download 10.10 Yosemite for free.
