Can I view HDMI video on my Mac?

I am using a Belgian Cable provider: they have given me a Digibox HD , which is a convertor (cable to HDMI output).

I can see (and delay/record) all (non-converted) channels via the standard coaxcable-connector attached to my EyeTV Hybrid.

However, i cannot see any commercial channel i've paid for, I would normally be able to see on my HDMI-capable TV.

Is there a solution to attach HDMI to my MacPro and 'stream' video to my Mac , just as I am doing with my EyeTV but with coax-cable?

I don't need to capture it: just view the live-broadcast. Recording etc... is an added bonus , but not essential.

Mac Pro (Late 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), RubyMotion!
