Apr 22, 2015 7:27 AM in response to dominic23by CahooofromDus,Thank you for your quick reply and help. I followed all 3 steps. The fan stopped overworking. Thank you. But the MBA is still really hot, esp. on the left half, even during just checking E-Mails. Shall I go back to the previous version using time machine?
Thanks.

Apr 22, 2015 8:27 AM in response to CahooofromDusby Grane Duke,CahooofromDus, uninstall the Google Chrome and use Safari instead. Chrome is a resource hog and while surfing the internet, it will increase your MacBooks temperature. You have nothing to loose if you uninstall it. Let me know the results.
Its not practical to go back to the previous version of Yosemite (10.10.2). Instead, I will recommend you to do a clean reinstall of your original preinstalled OS X i.e; Mountain Lion 10.8.4. Its a much much stable OS X for your macbook air. Give it a try.
Hope this helps.....
