Q: MacBooks can airdrop, but iPhones can't see any devices.

Hi all,

I have 2 iphone6 and 2 macbook pro 15 inch 2011.

iphones 6 are IOS 8.3 latest updates

macbook pro 15 inch late 2011 are OS X Yosemite  latest upgrades

both iPhones and MacBooks are signed into iCloud.

Both macbook pros can see each other in airdrop on home wifi and send files to each other.

iPhones6 however, can never see each other or MacBooks on home wi-fi or in the office on work wifi.

Followed all the instructions. Everything is enabled: wi-fi, bluetooth.

I really have done everything that is described by Apple and what described by multiple tutorials. None of my family iPhones can see any other devices on the network.  I try to share a photo from photos app on iPhone. I know it supports airdrop. But I just don't see any devices or contacts in the airdrop .

Airdrop is set to "Everyone" on iPhone.

I had iphone 5S before and I had the same problem. Basically for 1. 5 years now, I try and just CANT make airdrop work.

What else can I try in addition to the "obvious" stuff that everybody have already suggested?

Thank you.

-Dimitri.
