Is there a way to put a newly received pdf (created on a PC) into pages, then convert it to word, including images?
Goal - to edit the text of a pdf newsletter I received, but to maintain the integrity of the formatting and images.

Or have the person who created the document send you the source file used to create the PDF.
It cannot convert a PDF to an editable document for Word or other document editor, Tom. It's like using Preview to edit a PDF.
Wrong. PDFPen 7, both regular & Pro, can export to Word as well as Excel, PowerPoint (requires internet connection) & OCR PDFs. Take a look at the features page on Smile's website.
There is also PDF to Word & similar apps (some with the same name) in the Mac App Store to convert PDFs to Word.
