safari won't load my gmail. Message says its too many redirected pages or similar. Also lost my gmail on the 'mail' app a few weeks ago and wonder if the two are linked.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.7.5. Can't get safari to connect to my gmail. Message appears saying server can't open page and it may be due to too many redirected requests? Also lost my gmail account through my 'mail' app and despite many efforts and resetting of passwords couldn't get it back. Can still see my gmail on my iPad and iPhone through the usual 'mail' app. something not working on my computer and cannot understand why

Great, I've got my gmail through Safari back thanks.

Any ideas on why gmail won't load on my Mac 'mail' app. It loads my blueyonder mail no problem.

I get this message 'The server returned the error: Application-specific password required: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?answer=185833 (Failure)'

No idea what to do now so any help welcome. Thanks
