My dad passed away back in December. We are just now getting to resetting his iphone and ipad. However, it will not let us without having his icloud password. We have tried to reset it, but apparently he did not have a recovery email address properly set up.
iPhone 5c, iOS 8.1.3
Contact Apple with death cert or/and proof of purchase.
