bannersdontwork on Safari

Hi,

My MacBook Air has been infected by something that, from time to time, on my safari, serve.bannersdontwork.com will popup and after a second or two, will direct the browsing session to reimageplus.com. I know there was an old thread How can delete the serve.bannersdontwork virus from Safari on Mac?, and on that thread, the solution seemed to be to remove/disable extensions....which I did. And still did not help.

Please help....

Thanks

Sean

Try to use AdwareMedic to remove adware

http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php

Download the application, open adware medic dog file and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.

Once it will finish , quit AdwareMedic and restart mac

If this will not help check this link:

Thanks. It worked great. At first I had concerns about installing AdwareMedic (installing another software to get rid of something may make things worse). Then I did some search, especially visited https://discussions.apple.com/profile/thomas_r., who is the developer of Adwaremedic, i decided to give a try. And it instantly found a number of adware on my mac and the cleaning worked great too.

Thank you Rod, and thank you Tom R, for producing this tool.
